“Inrego helps us simplify product handling”

Karolinska University Hospital (Karolinska) has been using Inrego's services for almost four years. Inrego prepares the new equipment and delivers it to the hospital at the same time as they take the old equipment away for deletion and re-selling. To date this has contributed in Karolinska leveraging great value from its old products – while at the same time enjoying efficient and secure product handling.

Anders Mannegard, Section Manager for PC technology at the Karolinska Hospital, was quick out of the blocks to see the value of using a partner to simplify product management.

"Inrego helps us with the entire logistics surrounding IT migration. At new dispatches, regardless of supplier, the new computers and equipment is sent to Inrego’s storage in Täby. Inrego handles the reception and registration of the incoming equipment and takes care of the entire storage administration. Logging onto the internet gives me access to the storage status and I can therewith plan the purchase and dispatch of the new equipment.

When I want the equipment delivered I simply contact Inrego who then pack and mark it as per our instructions. Everything is documented in an inventory list. Dispatch is then made protected from view in specially designed trolleys that can navigate through the narrow hospital tunnels.

On dispatch of the new equipment, Inrego collects the old equipment and transports it to their logistics centre for inspection.

Security is of the essence as the hard drives could contain sensitive information. Therefore, all equipment is de-identified, anonymised and hard drives are securely deleted prior to re-sale or environmentally sound recycling.

After each return I receive a report down to serial number level with a deletion certificate for each unit. This helps me feel rest assured that all the information has been deleted and it simplifies our handling when removing the old equipment from our inventory lists. For recycled units we also receive an environmental report, which is well-appreciated by our environmental staff.

I find Inrego very professional and easy to do business with. They are also good at creating value from the old equipment.”
